R Anastomosis is a Safe and Effective Technique for B-II-B Anastomosis During Laparoscopic Gastrectomy

R Anastomosis, a novel technique for B-II-B anastomosis during laparoscopic distal gastrectomy, was compared to conventional anastomosis in a propensity score matching analysis. The study included 246 patients, with 123 in each group. The R group had significantly reduced anastomotic time, and there were no intraoperative complications, conversions to open surgery, or perioperative mortalities reported in either group. Furthermore, the R technique demonstrated potential in reducing postoperative gastric emptying dysfunction. These findings suggest that R Anastomosis is a safe and effective technique for B-II-B anastomosis during laparoscopic gastrectomy.
