A retrospective study investigated the impact of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy (POAC) on outcomes in patients with colorectal cancer liver metastases (CRLM) undergoing simultaneous resection. After propensity score matching analysis, 478 patients were enrolled and assigned to POAC or non-POAC groups. The study found that POAC significantly improved overall survival (OS) but not progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with resectable CRLM. Furthermore, POAC was identified as an independent prognostic factor for OS, and it enhanced OS in patients with low or high clinical risk scores.
