Early-onset adenocarcinoma of esophagogastric junction shows significantly better postoperative survival compared to late-onset adenocarcinoma

Results from a population-based study comparing early-onset and late-onset adenocarcinoma of esophagogastric junction demonstrated significantly better overall and cancer-specific survival in early-onset cases. Kaplan-Meier curves, multivariate Cox regression analyses, propensity score matching, and competing risk models all consistently showed a more favorable prognosis in early-onset adenocarcinoma patients.
