Researchers assessed a simulated laparotomy incision and closure-training model using a quantitative study design. The model was found to be realistic and useful as a teaching tool, with strong content validity evidence. Experts outperformed novices in the evaluation. Pre and post-test assessments showed a significant increase in confidence levels, providing strong validity evidence for the novel simulation-training model.
