Researchers found that postoperative day 3 and day 5 C-reactive protein levels have high predictive value for detecting liver resection-surgical site infections, with optimal cut-off values identified. This information can assist in ruling out infections and making decisions regarding hospital discharge in patients undergoing liver resection.
