Why are Intraoperative Adverse Events Important in Robotic Radical Gastrectomy for Gastric Cancer?

Assessment of intraoperative adverse events (IAEs) during robotic radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer revealed that IAEs significantly correlated with postoperative complications and poor long-term prognosis. The presence of IAEs was associated with worse overall and disease-free survival rates compared to patients without IAEs. Utilizing the classintra grading system for quality control and prognostic evaluation is recommended in routine surgical practice.
