Researchers demonstrate the efficacy of video-assisted retroperitoneal debridement in two patients with retroperitoneal abscesses following penetrating trauma. Both patients showed rapid improvement and were discharged within days of the procedure. This minimally invasive approach is a viable option for surgical drainage when conservative measures fail, offering a successful treatment option for post-trauma retroperitoneal abscesses with favorable anatomy.
