Bariatric surgery post-liver transplantation in Belgium showed significant and sustained weight loss, resolution of metabolic dysfunction-associated liver disease, and favorable metabolic outcomes. Sleeve gastrectomy was the favored procedure, leading to improved clinical and biochemical markers. Despite a small sample size, the results suggest the safety and efficacy of bariatric surgery in liver transplant recipients.
