Need for Trauma Intervention and Cribari Indices for Triage in Injured Patients

Study compares the performance of Need for Trauma Intervention (NFTI) and Cribari Methods (CM) for triaging injured patients. Results show NFTI has higher sensitivity, specificity, PPV, and NPV compared to CM. However, both methods have poor sensitivity in identifying severely injured trauma patients. Under-triage increases with patient age. Further research is needed to enhance triage accuracy.
