Laparoscopic liver resection was associated with less blood loss compared to enucleation in patients with high portal phase enhancement ratio. For patients with a portal phase enhancement ratio higher than 38.9%, the liver resection approach is recommended for giant hepatic hemangioma, while both approaches showed similar outcomes in patients with low portal phase enhancement ratio.
