Outcomes of Liver Resection with Vascular Reconstruction

Study identifies risk factors for mortality & morbidity in liver resection with vascular reconstruction. Surgical mortality rate highest in hepatic artery reconstruction (15.8%). Factors include age, male sex, comorbidities, liver function, and biliary reconstruction. Portal venous reconstruction most common (59.6% of cases). Analysis provides insights for improving patient outcomes in hepatobiliary surgeries.
