Feasibility of Robotic Liver Resection in Limited Resource Settings

Transitioning to robotic liver resection in a limited resource setting may offer feasible surgical outcomes, with no conversions to open surgery, low complication rates, and decreased operative time based on a retrospective study of 67 cases. Major hepatectomies and complex procedures were successfully performed, indicating that robotic technology in skilled hands can be effective even in smaller centers.
