Delayed gastric emptying (DGE) after laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) was studied in 827 patients. Preoperative biliary drainage, blood loss, and major complications were significant risk factors for DGE. Higher BMI, soft pancreatic texture, and perioperative transfusion increased the risk of secondary DGE. Identifying at-risk patients can lead to early interventions and improved clinical decisions for shorter perioperative management durations.
