An innovative ostomy protector, in conjunction with a compression binder, was proven safe and effective in reducing parastomal hernia in ostomates. With a low incidence of hernia-related complications, patients reported high satisfaction levels with the prototype, signifying its potential clinical value as a preventive measure. Collaborative design efforts between healthcare professionals and end-users yielded a promising solution for addressing this common complication, offering hope for improved patient outcomes.
