Researchers analyzed 5606 gastric cancer patients, identifying key risk factors for lymph node metastasis (LNM) in early gastric cancer (EGC). Significant predictors include female gender, lower tumor location, tumor size >2 cm, mixed and undifferentiated histologic types, t1b stage, ulceration, and lymphovascular invasion. A nomogram was developed to preoperatively predict LNM risk in EGC, aiding in personalized treatment planning.
