Traffic and Nontraffic Accident Mortality Trends in Northern Iran

An upward trend in total mortality rates was observed in a study analyzing traffic and nontraffic accident mortalities in northern Iran from 2016 to 2022. While traffic death rates showed a non-significant decrease, intentional nontraffic deaths displayed a significant upward trend. The findings highlight the need for comprehensive safety measures to address the increasing trend of accidents, particularly nontraffic incidents, in the region.
