A novel oral-vestibule-enteral anastomosis (OVEA) technique shows promise in patients with compromised epiglottic function or esophageal loss, providing a solution where traditional surgeries fail. Outcomes from 13 patients revealed successful oral feeding, improved quality of life, and minimal fatalities, highlighting the potential of OVEA to enhance patient outcomes. Further research is needed to assess long-term efficacy and patient selection criteria for this innovative surgical approach.
