Development and Validation of the GAASThyriC Model to Predict Suboptimal Responses After Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy

Study developed a predictive model – GAASThyriC – utilizing age, glucose, TSH, alcohol use, SII, and tobacco to forecast patient outcomes post laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. The GAASThyriC score demonstrated high accuracy in identifying individuals unlikely to have optimal responses in weight loss. This model serves as a valuable tool for clinicians to anticipate patient populations at risk of suboptimal weight loss outcomes post-surgery.
