Study identifies key factors influencing postoperative weight loss trajectories after bariatric surgery, including demographics like age, sex, and race/ethnicity, as well as preoperative clinical factors such as preoperative BMI and comorbidities. Men, older patients, and certain ethnic groups were more likely to have lower postoperative weight loss. These findings could help improve patient support to achieve desired surgical outcomes.
