Aberrant hepatic artery is common in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, with complex variations impacting treatment. A retrospective study of 1250 patients showed a high incidence of aberrant hepatic artery (21.3%), affecting operation duration and postoperative outcomes. Variations included aberrant left and right hepatic artery origins. Differences in tace operation duration, nausea, vomiting, and laboratory results were significant between patients with and without aberrant hepatic artery.
