Laparoscopic treatment of extrahepatic choledochal cyst

A novel classification system for extrahepatic choledochal cyst (ecc) has been developed, consisting of type a, type b, type c, and type d. The incidence of comorbidities and postoperative biliary stricture varies significantly among the types. Factors like age, BMI > 30, classification, and presence of combined stones are associated with prolonged operative time. The new classification system, combined with machine learning-driven cluster analysis, offers valuable insights for improved laparoscopic surgical treatment of ecc.
