Early postoperative CT imaging after pancreatectomy significantly improved patient outcomes. Among 370 patients studied, those receiving early scans had shorter hospital stays (17.05 days vs. 22.82 days, p = .0008) and lower mortality rates (0% vs. 11%, p = .02). Early imaging also emerged as the sole independent predictor of a postoperative length of stay ≤15 days. Changes in treatment were seen in 59% of patients following early imaging, highlighting its critical role in postoperative care.
