A consensus was reached among 23 surgeons regarding the safe implementation of minimally invasive hepato-pancreato-biliary (MIS HPB) surgery. Key outcomes included strong support for formal guidelines both at institutional and surgeon levels, with 91% advocating a minimum annual institutional volume cutoff for complex procedures. Additionally, 74% agreed on a minimum surgeon volume requirement. Essential factors identified for safety included structured training, institutional support, and mandatory outcomes monitoring, ensuring a comprehensive approach to MIS HPB surgical programs.
