A combined nomogram integrating IVIM-DWI parameters and MRI characteristics achieved AUC values of 0.901 and 0.883 in training and validation cohorts, respectively. This approach effectively distinguishes between T1-2 and T3-4 stages of gastric cancer, addressing the challenge faced by radiologists in preoperative assessments. No significant difference was found between individual models, indicating the multimodal approach’s superiority in predicting tumor invasion depth and guiding neoadjuvant chemotherapy selection.
