A study in Paris public hospitals found robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) effectively decreases the length of hospital stay compared to traditional laparoscopic and open surgeries. An analysis of 9,326 procedures revealed that RAS saved a total of 5,390 hospitalization days, with 86% of these savings from urological procedures. This lower median length of stay enhances patient turnover and creates better patient flow, underscoring the benefits of adopting robotic technologies in surgical practices.
