Nomogram predicts survival in pancreatic head cancer patients

A novel nomogram utilizing the number of positive lymph nodes has demonstrated effectiveness in predicting overall survival (OS) for patients with pancreatic head cancer following radical surgery. Analyzed data from over 3,200 patients identified key independent risk factors, including age, tumor extent, and chemotherapy. The nomogram achieved a c-index of 0.652 in the development set and 0.661 in the validation set, indicating its strong predictive capability, as confirmed by calibration and decision analysis curves.
