Nomogram Predicts Cancer-Specific Survival in Advanced Liver Cancer

A nomogram designed to predict cancer-specific survival (CSS) in middle-aged patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma demonstrated significant accuracy. Analyzing data from 3,026 patients, independent risk factors linked to CSS included gender, marital status, AJCC stage, tumor size, and metastasis. The model achieved area under the curve (AUC) values of 0.74, 0.78, and 0.82 for 1-, 3-, and 5-year CSS, respectively. This nomogram outperformed traditional staging methods and aids clinicians in prognostic assessment and treatment decisions.
