Vascular navigation system reduces complications in laparoscopic gastrectomy

A patient-specific vascular navigation system demonstrated clinical feasibility in laparoscopic gastrectomy for gastric cancer, with no adverse events reported during surgeries. Compared to 114 patients without the system, those using it had significantly lower overall complication rates (10.5% vs. 26.3%, p=0.043) and no pancreas-related complications encountered. The findings suggest that integrating this navigation tool can enhance surgical safety and outcomes in laparoscopic procedures, marking a promising advancement in surgical technology.
