Shaobei injection proves effective for treating hemorrhoids

A comparative study involving 413 patients evaluated the efficacy, safety, and health economics of endoscopic shaobei injection versus band ligation for grade I-IV symptomatic hemorrhoids. Both treatments demonstrated similar recurrence rates at three months, but the injection group reported significantly less postoperative pain and fewer complications. Patients receiving shaobei injection experienced lower incidences of anal distention and postoperative discomfort compared to their band ligation counterparts, suggesting it as a viable alternative for hemorrhoid management.
