Damage control techniques prove effective for unexpected massive bleeding

The study illustrates the efficacy of damage control techniques (DCS) in managing unexpected massive bleeding during elective surgeries. Two cases are presented: an obese male with colon cancer and a male with hepatocellular carcinoma, both experiencing significant bleeding. DCS facilitated stabilization in life-threatening scenarios, enabling successful interventions despite hemodynamic instability and coagulopathy. Outcomes were favorable, as both patients survived post-surgery, underscoring the importance of DCS in elective surgeries facing unforeseen complications.
