A study analyzing the branching patterns of the right intrahepatic portal vein identified 12 distinct types, emphasizing the anatomical variations of the right anterior and posterior portal veins. Three-dimensional visualization technology was utilized to analyze 711 patients, revealing the cranio-caudal and ventro-dorsal configurations among others. These findings provide clinicians with critical insights into portal vein anatomy, enhancing safety and decision-making in hepatic surgeries.
