Alanyl-glutamine and omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids positively influenced postoperative outcomes in patients with gastroduodenal perforations. In a study involving 168 patients, those receiving the combination therapy experienced significant increases in total protein and albumin levels, alongside reduced C-reactive protein levels, indicating lower inflammation. Notably, group C (receiving both treatments) had the shortest hospitalization time and fewer complications compared to others. These findings suggest a promising strategy to enhance recovery after surgery for such conditions.
