A multicenter study demonstrated the efficacy of machine-learning diagnostic models in differentiating uncomplicated from complicated acute appendicitis (AA). Among three developed models, the clinical-radiomics-fused model employing a random forest algorithm achieved the best area under the curve (AUC) of 0.84 in the testing cohort. This research highlights the potential of non-invasive decision-making methods, with all models showing excellent performance overall. An accessible online tool for clinicians was also created based on model outcomes.
