A comprehensive analysis of 4,557 patients revealed that prophylactic clipping after endoscopic mucosal resection for large non-pedunculated colon polyps resulted in significant cost savings. Specifically, in a typical case, clipping yielded an incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) of -$154,706. This technique proved cost-effective for large polyps and beneficial for patients on antithrombotic therapy when utilizing up to two clips. Optimizing costs and clip usage can enhance the economic feasibility of the approach.
