Researchers found that adherence to CPG is alarmingly low, particularly concerning peritoneal irrigation, abdominal drains, and antibiotic stewardship. Non-compliance, especially in complicated cases and technically challenging laparoscopic surgeries, leads to increased complications and higher costs.
