The study evaluated surgical-oncologic textbook outcomes in patients with stage I to III pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma using national registries. The results showed that over 50% of patients achieved surgical-oncologic textbook outcomes in both the US and Germany. Patients who failed to achieve these outcomes had significantly impaired survival rates. The median overall survival was higher in patients with composite textbook outcomes compared to those without. This study highlights the importance of achieving surgical-oncologic textbook outcomes for improved prognosis in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
