Platelet Count Ratio Predicts Long-Term Survival in Left Pancreatectomy for PDAC

After left pancreatectomy for pancreatic adenocarcinoma, patients with a perioperative platelet count ratio (PPR) ≥ 1.5 had significantly longer median overall survival (OS) compared to those with PPR < 1.5 (40 months vs. 20 months). PPR was identified as a biomarker for predicting long-term survival in these patients, suggesting its potential as a prognostic factor in PDAC cases following left pancreatectomy.
