Impact of Unplanned Conversion on Patient Survival after Laparoscopic Liver Resection for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Unplanned conversion during laparoscopic liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma is associated with higher blood loss, transfusion rate, hospital stay, and postoperative complications. However, the 5-year overall survival rate was similar in patients who underwent unplanned conversion and those who underwent laparoscopic liver resection.
