Survival Benefit of Adjuvant Chemotherapy in Resected Gallbladder Adenocarcinoma

Adjuvant chemotherapy (AC) shows a significant survival advantage in patients with resected gallbladder adenocarcinoma, according to a retrospective cohort analysis. Factors like age, tumor grade, and stage were identified as independent prognostic factors. Poor/undifferentiated tumor histology, higher tumor stage, and lymph node involvement were also associated with improved survival with AC. These findings support the use of AC for personalized therapy in patients with resected gallbladder adenocarcinoma.
