Identifying Risk Factors for Postoperative Infection in Choledochoscopy for IHDs

Preoperative biliary obstruction and operation time were identified as significant risk factors for postoperative infection in choledochoscopy for intrahepatic bile duct stones. Biliary tract infections, particularly with Escherichia coli, were the main cause of postoperative infection. Biliary tract obstruction and body mass index were independent risk factors for postoperative biliary tract infection in this real-world setting study involving 126 patients.
