Approximately 52% of patients were mobilised within 6 hours post surgery, increasing to 96% within 24 hours. Patients with daytime postoperative recovery unit arrival, shorter anaesthesia duration (<4 hours), and lower ASA classification (1-2) were more likely to be mobilised within 6 hours. Major upper abdominal surgery patients had the longest time before mobilisation, averaging 11 hours post surgery.
