Disparities in overall survival between rural and urban patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors

Rural patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pnets) have significantly shorter overall survival (OS) following primary pnet resection compared to urban patients. After adjustments for various factors, living in a rural area remained significantly associated with worse OS. This study highlights survival disparities between rural and urban pnet patients and emphasizes the need for targeted interventions to improve outcomes in rural populations.
