Researchers analyzed data from 1582 patients with small intestinal stromal tumors to identify risk factors for liver metastasis. They found that poor tumor grade, absence of surgery, later T-stage, and no chemotherapy were associated with an increased risk of liver metastasis. A nomogram prediction model showed good performance in predicting liver metastasis, and patients with liver metastasis had significantly lower overall survival rates compared to those without liver metastasis.
