Patients with BMI ≥ 50 kg/m undergoing single anastomosis duodenal switch (SADI-S) had higher and sustained weight-loss results compared to Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB), along with better comorbidity resolution. Both procedures showed similar safety profiles, but further research is needed to confirm the long-term safety of SADI-S. This multicenter retrospective study included 968 patients, indicating the potential benefits of SADI-S for high-BMI individuals.
