Adenocarcinoma Arising from Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasms (A-IPMN) Shows Superior Long-term Outcomes Compared to Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC)

Patients with Adenocarcinoma arising from Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm (A-IPMN) have better long-term survival and lower recurrence rates compared to those with Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC). PDAC patients showed inferior overall and disease-free survival, higher locoregional recurrence rates, but comparable systemic recurrence rates. A-IPMN patients had higher rates of lung and peritoneal recurrence but lower locoregional recurrence.
