Impact of Bariatric Surgery on Incontinence Improvement in Asian Women

Bariatric surgery significantly improved urinary incontinence scores among obese Asian women, with age and gynecological history influencing the degree of improvement. Among 200 participants, 50.5% reported UI symptoms before surgery, with an average weight loss of 29 kg and a mean BMI drop of 11.2 kg/m. Limited studies on this topic in Asian countries were also reviewed, highlighting the importance of surgical intervention in managing UI in this population.
