Laparoscopic-guided transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block significantly reduced postoperative pain and analgesic requirements in patients undergoing laparoscopic IPOM plus compared to standard general anesthesia. Group I, receiving TAP block, had significantly lower pain scores at 6 and 24 hours postoperatively and required fewer additional analgesics (13.8%) compared to Group II (72.2%). These findings highlight the efficacy of TAP blocks in managing postoperative pain in laparoscopic ventral hernia repairs.
