Aspartate transaminase to platelet ratio index (APRI) ≥0.7 is independently associated with perioperative transfusion, overall morbidity, and 30-day mortality following minor hepatectomy. This suggests APRI could serve as a noninvasive tool for risk stratification in elective hepatectomy patients.
