The study showed that simultaneous resection of liver metastases combined with HIPEC resulted in a significantly higher complete resection rate, total effective rate, and negative change of CEA compared to resection alone. This approach demonstrated superior efficacy in treating synchronous colorectal cancer liver metastases, potentially extending patient survival and improving quality of life.
