Autofluorescence significantly improved parathyroid gland identification in hemithyroidectomy, boosting surgical confidence. The near-infrared camera enabled better visualization pre-procedure, leading to higher parathyroid identification rates compared to conventional surgery. This approach may benefit low-volume institutions without parathyroid surgery experience.
